The Alkan Society: governance
The Society is administered by a Committee consisting of the three Honorary Executive Officers (Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) and further Committee Members. The current members of the Committee can be seen above.

Committee members are elected by paid-up members of the Society attending the Annual General Meeting of the Society; Committee members are elected to hold office for three years.
​
The Committee receives advice from the President and Vice-presidents of the Society.

The rules and conditions of the Society are embodied in the Society’s Constitution.
